Tools: Books

What books have you read (beside GPYB ;) ) that have helped?

This is an on-going thread for new readers to hear from others who have recently gone through or are going through it. All suggestions welcome! I will put links to the books suggested in the Amazon links as well.

Please share!

Tools: Self-Care

Please share with us what special things you do for you each day, each week, when you reach an NC milestone etc.

This will be an on-going thread so that new readers can find suggestions and how it works. If you have had any reservations or (god forbid!) guilt about being good to you, please share that too and how you overcame it!

Tools: Music!

We all have empowering songs or songs that help us get into a good frame of mind. What are yours? When I was first separated I had a mix tape in the car of all my FU songs. My favorite at the time was Billy Joel’s “My Life” after separating from a controlling bananahead. I used to scream it in my car.

This will be an on-going comment thread so that new visitors to the blog can read what helps others and get ideas. Please share what songs really help you!

Tools: Affirmations

Please share what affirmation or positive self-talk tricks and tools you use. How do you “snap off” negative self-talk? How do you replace with positive talk? How do you do your affirmations? Do you write them? Record them? Use post it notes? What works for you? This will be an on-going comment thread so that new visitors to the blog can read what helps others and get ideas. Please share!
