When: June 6-8
Where: NEW YORK CITY!!!! Come for a weekend of healing and fun in the GREATEST city in the world.
LOCATION: Andaz Wall Street
We just finished the February Women’s Weekend and it was WONDERFUL. SO much sharing, caring and healing. The June one will be great, but we are limiting registrations to 9 women. It seems to work best.
The hotel is actually on Wall and Water Street. This is a fabulous location. There are a few places that are inexpensive close by (Holiday Inn Express and DoubleTree) as well as higher priced but great hotels like Marriott Downtown. If you stay uptown I will tell you how to get here from there. It’s not hard.
Downtown New York City is really wonderful. There are still original cobblestone streets close by and the oldest standing building in New York City, Fraunces Tavern. You can see both the new World Trade Center and 9/11 Memorial from here as well as the Brooklyn Bridge and Statue of Liberty. It has a very different “feel” than midtown but if you want to go up to midtown, it’s easy to get to. Anyone from out of town who wants to take a few extra days in the city, feel free. I will give you as much information as I can and there are several NY area women who will help support you as well.
So…about the weekend:
I don’t want to close any one out so if you’re still shopping for deals/trying to arrange time out of work or something like that, please let me know so I can count you in even if you’re on the fence. This is going to be an INCREDIBLE weekend and I don’t want anyone to be left out. Thanks!
Women’s Weekend of Breakup and Relationship Recovery
Come join us for a weekend of sharing, caring and support. The past GPYB women’s events have been INCREDIBLE and so healing. If you are going to register, but are still trying to get off work or make travel plans, please let me know.
When I started recovering from bad relationships, I went to conferences, workshops and the like were SO important to me. It was important to get out, to focus on myself and meet other women who were trying to break free. I was a single mom and when I started this journey I was unemployed. So I would save for these events and look for deals etc. I would ask friends for travel gift certificates (back then they just gave me certs from travel agents).
Because of the amount of healing I received from these events, I like to offer them. I don’t make money on these events (room rental and food and beverage in NYC is upwards of $350 per person and I have to rent audio and visual equipment as well) and they are a lot of work, but I would like to have every woman in the world who is involved with these types of sickos in this workshop but I would need to go around chasing people with butterfly nets. So I hope you give it some good thought if you need it.
Also if you have an in with any kind of corporate sponsor, please let me know!
FRIDAY JUNE 6th LOCATION: NEW YORK CITY
Friday night 6-9 Welcome reception and introductions and preview of the weekend. You will be surprised at how at home you will feel right away! We will have a beverage service of coffee and tea.
SATURDAY JUNE 7th
We start at 10 with a continental breakfast. We have lunch at 1 and a late snack at 4. We will pretty much be working through all the meals.
We talk about many things this day. It is really going to be the heart and soul of the weekend. We will cover self-esteem, attraction to the unavailable/badly behaving, breaking free, challenging yourself, staying on the road of recovery. We will talk about breaking obsessive habits, going and staying NC, finding your own inner strength and how to help yourself, your kids and others. You will talk about dating again, looking for red flags, keeping your standards high and how to set limits and boundaries with everyone. We will have lecture, break-out groups etc.
You will learn to move past bad relationships, value yourself enough to be picky about who you date, stand up for yourself and be the best person you can be. You will learn to stop settling for less. You will ask for more and refuse to accept unacceptable behavior from ANYONE.
We will work HARD on self-esteem, self-image and positive messages. We’ll talk about what a GOOD relationship looks like and how to deal with your stuff to be ready for one. How to look for one and how to avoid another bad one.
During this weekend, there will be sharing, laughter, tears and a bit of butt kicking from me (as well as lots of compassion and understanding). My goal is to have quite a few less women who love too much in the world. You will give and get support and it will be very healing.
SATURDAY NIGHT
I always make reservations for a dinner at every GPYB event (but the dinner cost is not included in the registration). These dinners are social..NO HEAVY CONVERSATION! In the past we have laughed and talked and they have been a great unwinding after the heavy Saturday. You are welcome to join us or explore the city or go home and crash. In February, we had 6 women talking for a few hours at Fraunces Tavern. We talked about reality shows and other non-GPYB topics. It was so much fun!!
SUNDAY June 8gth
We start again with a continental breakfast and end the formal seminar after lunch for those who need to travel.
10-12 Wrap up and goodbyes. (BREAKFAST)
Lunch is at 12.
1-3 for those who are staying, we will have lunch and I will be available for those who are staying or local and want to ask questions. The 12-3 is flexible. You can leave anytime after 12 even if you’re sticking around. The 12-3 will be very informal.
I typically look for airline/hotel deals and post them and ask that others attending do the same. If you’re traveling by train or plane, you can let me know and if there is someone local to you coming as well, I can let you know and you can travel together (people have done this in the past and it’s worked well).
If you are an alumnus of a GPYB/GPYP event or bootcamp, please use ALUM discount code (20 percent). If you are a current paid subscriber, please use PSUB as a discount code (15 percent). If you are a current private coaching client, please use PRIVATE as a discount code (35 percent).
If you know someone who could use this workshop, please pass it on!
